Nothing at a dealer's lot goes to plan. The hood is shut, the light is gone, the seller is rushing you. The session is built for exactly that: leave it half-done, then pick it up where you left off.

1 · Identity

Registration document, VIN, or manual selection

Photograph the registration document — that's the fastest route. Or type the VIN, or pick from the list: 102 makes, 970 models. All three land in the same place: which engine, which year. Without the engine there is no chronic-fault question to ask.

2 · Session

Eight tasks, resumable

There are eight tasks and you don't have to do them all at once. A task whose conditions aren't met shows up locked rather than quietly disappearing: bodywork wants daylight, the dashboard wants ignition on and engine off, engine sound wants quiet and an open hood.

3 · Senses

If one drops out, the others keep going

Each sense gives its own answer with its own confidence level. If one fails, the others don't wait. And we write down what we couldn't see: how many panels were read, how many weren't — all of it inside the output.

4 · Synthesis

One verdict in your hand

The findings get read against each other and the contradictions come forward. What you're left holding: a risk score, a grade from A to E, a cost estimate as a range, and the opening number you'll take to the table.

Smart behaviour

Arrived at night? The order changes.

Darkness doesn't ruin everything. Dashboard lamps read more clearly in a photo taken at night, so that task comes first. Bodywork needs daylight: a night shot hides the paint difference at a panel seam, so that one waits for morning. Engine sound wants quiet — and a cold engine says more.
